I was wondering i follow these guidelines in this pdf in making me a few weapons but i want to make them look more real. Could I use like some foam and shape a blade on them and if so what kind would be the best to use?

Wider blades and things like that can be created using camp foam or more pipe foam. Any protrusions that really stick out should be made with open celled foam (the soft stuff) and should be at least 2" wide.

All of these can be cut and shaped using a hot foam cutter or hot knife, but only use such tools in a well-ventilated environment.
