We had a change in plans and are now free this weekend, and think it will be a blast to check out the event.

Sounds like there are plenty of places to sleep, so that answers question number 1.

  • Are you a level cap chapter?
  • My wife and I vend stuff to help cover the cost of gas, would that be ok if we set up a merchant station and sold stuff (costuming, weapons, shields) for (real) money?
  • Are you a latex friendly chapter?

Thanks,
Dan

I beleive I can help answer these questions. Though utlimentally Matt has the final desision on this I think I already know the answer to some of this.

I don't know what Level Cap means. I do know that, we auto-receive our max experiencd that we could for the game days we attended.

Vending stuff for real money will probally be alright, if I have Matt figured out enough. If you vend food too, that may also be very worth while as this event will not have food and some people may not be aware.

When it comes to latex weapons we have some limitations. Swords and such that have points may not be approvable, where as hammers and axes are probally very approvable.

I hope to see you there Polomas. You and your wife. If your selling costumes, sheilds, and weapons, you may find me a costumer soon enough. As I can never be satisfied with what Crie Kris'alis Snillor already has. =3

Here's the quick answers on your questions:

Are you a level cap chapter?

-No

My wife and I vend stuff to help cover the cost of gas, would that be ok if we set up a merchant station and sold stuff (costuming, weapons, shields) for (real) money?

-No problem. In fact, I think it would be great and add to the atmosphere.

Are you a latex friendly chapter?

-Yes.

Just wanted to remind everybody that today (Friday the 20th) is the deadline for preregistration. Please, if you can, get your registration in the mail today, but if you can't, I'll waive the door fee for anyone who lets me know for sure that they will be attending by 11:59 p.m. Monday. So mail the registration by Monday or submit your payment using http://www.larpsr.us by Monday or at the very least email me or pm me by Monday. Otherwise, you'll have to pay the extra $10 door fee to play.

The reason you preregister is twofold: so I can prepare the right amount of treasure to release to you, and so I can balance the game for you.

Thanks,
Matt

ETA: Make sure you bring a copy of the Medical Info/Legal Release form with you. http://www.sunnflare.com/smf/forum/index.php?topic=85.0

ETA: I have received pre-reg info from Kris, Eric, Brandon, and Karen.

I can't come to the event guys. Gas is too much and I haven't got my license yet. Which means My mom and dad would have to bring me and with My brother being in Upward Bound and then being in Soccer too, we have to make two trips every day all week long to elkins and back.

I'm also having money issues as well.

I'm sorry...I really thought I was going to be able to attend this event....

Ho-hum.
How much do you think it'd cost you on gas to do all that? Where do you live (Elkins? Berverly? Kashyyyk?) and what exactly is your faimly's buisness? (Hope you don't mind all the questions >.> I like to figure out peoples situations and see if I can think of something) And with your brother, do you oftne pick him up? Or is it mainly your faimly?

If there's anything I can do to change this, let me know. That goes for anyone else who is unable to make it.

I'll pitch in on that too.
Everyone would like to see more people there, and I'd be willing to help out if I can too.
One person choose not to come because they coulnd't pay. I told them I"d pay for them and after a while they just said they needed to fix their costume, so they wont be at this first event. Oh well.
But yeah, alot of us are willing to help.

Because we want everyone to go.

Well we have to make a trip every night this week, twice, to Elkins.

Friday Night We have to go pick Cody up at upward bound by 6;30.

Saturday I think we actually have a scrimmage to go to.

and even though we have two vehicles, the money is eaten up quickly for the gas to make the aforementioned trips.

I sent my Resume in for a job this week, Hopefully I hear back from them and, if I get it, things will be different.

-_- Oh I hate programs like that. I mean, unless the kid really really wanted to do it themselves, and it wasn't just the parent signing them up or a on the whim thing. I hate after school/during the summer school programs for the most part. I mean theres a few I love like Old Brick's few. But eeehhh whatever. So it's just a gas money thing?

Do you do the trips yourself D? Cause if it's not you picking them up I'm sure someone can pick you up. Now if it's you specifically, yeah then obviously we can't work around that. Whats Scrimmage? and where did you put in your resume?

Just a note, Upward Bound isn't a whim thing. It's a three year program to get kids into college.

I know it's not a whim thing. I know it's a something year thing. >.>
but I mean signing up for something, some people don't give it as much thought as they should.

like how alot of people sign up for the army just to get the money for collage. Without thinking rather they are really committed to doing the whole army thing or not, or thinking the pros and cons out. Thats what I mean by on the whim. Eeehhh sorry if any of that comes out in any offensive manner.

EDIT:
Further appologies. >3> I didn't know they ask you like a dozen times if you want to join to make sure with the whole upward bound thing. Kris sort of just informed me.
