As of 5/1/2011, NERO Elkins will no longer be updating characters for players with expired/inactive memberships and players with expired/inactive memberships will be unable to PC at NERO Elkins events. Many players' memberships had been extended to 3/1/2012 at http://nerodb.com/ for the convenience of upholding the previous membership policy. On 4/14/11, all memberships athttp://nerodb.com/ that were extended without payment were changed to expire on 5/1/2011. New players who joined between 5/2/2010 and 4/30/2011 and whose memberships were extended without payment had their memberships changed to expire 1 year from the date they joined. Check your membership expiration date by logging in to http://nerodb.com/
If you have lost your http://nerodb.com/ login name or password, please contact Matt Taylor or Eric Rollins. We can reset your password and send you your login information.
As of 5/1/2011, new players must pay their first year's membership fee before NERO Elkins will begin tracking their character's experience.
I understand that this policy change will inconvenience some players, but it is necessary to keep NERO Elkins in line with NERO International policies.
If your home chapter is not NERO Elkins, disregard the notice. It only affects players whose home chapter is NERO Elkins. Other chapters are handling membership differently.
The membership fee is to cover National's costs involved in maintaining the National Character Database (http://nerodb.com). All chapters have been asked to use the National DB, and all players in the DB need to pay the National Membership Fee. NERO Elkins staff cannot update characters of players who are not in the National DB. However, that does not affect out-of-chapter players, as we don't update them directly; we send the information off to your home chapter's logistics staff and they update your character.
Visiting players should contact their home chapter about that chapter's membership policy.
